Deposition means storage and not loss.
It is in Axenfeld et al. (1984) described a model for calculating dust precipitation. The theoretical basics are explained using a thought model. This defines the deposition speed as the speed after which “... a column standing on the surface of the earth, which contains the material suitable for deposition, runs dry due to deposition”. Deposition is understood to mean loss and not retention. The authors of the AUSTAL2000 are creators of pseudoscientific theories and deny the state of the art.
